Rangiroa is the largest atoll in French Polynesia and the second one in the world: it could contain in its center the whole island of Tahiti. Rangiroa is a natural aquarium, ranked by Jacques Cousteau as the most beautiful and the richest site in the world. Divers will find “clouds” of surgeons, mullet, wrasses, ballets of manta rays, schools of jackfish or barracudas, sharks of all types (grey, white or black tip, hammerhead) and dolphins. 

We'll spend 7 nights at Hotel Maitai Rangiroa, located on the lagoon between the passes of Avatoru and Tiputa. We have 6 days of 2-tank boat dives scheduled with the option to add a 3rd. Breakfast and 2-course dinner each day is included, as well as your domestic flights between Tahiti and Rangiroa.

Minimum dive certification/experience: As the diving here can be deeper and more challenging, each diver must have a minimum of Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent) and at least 50 dives. Enriched air/Nitrox certification required.

You should plan to arrive on Tahiti, the main island of French Polynesia, by June 30 when we'll head to Rangiroa! After 7 nights on Rangiroa, we'll fly back to Tahiti on July 7, at which point you can head home or visit another beautiful island.

Upon cancellation of a reservation for any reason, the refund of the deposit and payments made or due will be contingent upon Blue Planet reselling the participant's reservation. Any refund may also be subject to a $250 cancellation fee and payment of any non-refundable fees imposed by the tour company, dive operator or any other contractor associated with the trip. 

Dive accident insurance is required for all divers on this trip. We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect your vacation investment. Contact us if you need more information. 

Fly into the Tahiti airport. You may need to stay arrive the day before to ensure you make the domestic flights. We can help you with accommodations.
